October Meeting - First Post
What are we doing here?
We are four triathletes from various backgrounds and training levels, training to complete Ironman Canada in 2o09, using the current training method we use for Olympics distance races. We currently train for Olympic races by regularly completing 70 mile bike rides, and 2-3 mile swims, and marathons. We hope to extend that level and distance of training to Ironman perspective, being mindful of our bodies and over-training.
One of our main goals is to raise our individual fitness level to where touching the ceiling and recovery to repeat performance would not be a huge effort.
We are looking to test the accepted idea in the industry that training above and beyond the Iron distance is healthy for age group athletes.
We have 9 months to do this; follow our progress. You will find our personal information, like monthly weigh ins and physiological measurements (Resting Heart Rates, mood levels, training levels, etc), along with each individual's perspective on the training. Enjoy!
November Minutes:
November 10: Next months meeting
* Post your weekly updates to encompase a Monday - Sunday week.
